Natural History, Drone and Documentary Camera Operator
With nearly 20 years’ experience, I specialise in long lens, high-speed, and drone cinematography. I combine technical expertise with an eye for cinematic storytelling.
My work is trusted by leading broadcasters and streaming platforms worldwide, including the BBC, ITV, National Geographic, Netflix, Apple TV, and Disney+. From sweeping aerials to intimate close-ups, I deliver visuals that elevate productions and connect with audiences.
I’ve received both Factual Photography BAFTAs and the Royal Television Society awards for cinematography.
My passion for the natural world began in childhood, exploring habitats and watching wild animals around my rural home in the Lake District. At 15 I bought my first camera (with a 3 year loan from my mum!) — the start of a journey that’s taken me from emperor penguins in Antarctica to orangutans in the Indonesian jungle.
From the Lake District to the Ends of the Earth
Giant armadillos in the Brazilian Pantanal to jungle crows in the heart of urban Tokyo.
Whether filming natural history for a global audience or focusing on a smaller scale local, commercial project, my aim is the same: to craft powerful stories that bring viewers closer to the world around them.
